Leveraging six internationally advanced medium and heavy plate production lines, Jingye Steel has established a large-scale manufacturing base with an annual capacity exceeding 12 million tons. Equipped with ultra-fast cooling systems, heavy-duty leveling machines, and high-precision ultrasonic testing equipment, Jingye Steel has built a fully integrated and intelligent production control system covering the entire process—from steelmaking and slab rolling to final plate finishing.

Thanks to its comprehensive strengths in equipment, process technology, and quality control, Jingye Steel’s high-grade shipbuilding steel and offshore engineering steel have been selected by the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology as part of the Top Ten Flagship Steel Products in the industry. These products have obtained certifications from ten major international classification societies, including those of the United States, France, the United Kingdom, and Norway, enabling global market access. They are widely used in shipbuilding, offshore engineering, energy and chemical industries, construction machinery, and other critical sectors, positioning Jingye Steel as a key material supplier for major global infrastructure and strategic projects.

01 Four Core Product Categories Enter the High-End Global Market

From offshore engineering to energy transportation, from wind power infrastructure to high-end equipment manufacturing, Jingye Steel’s four core categories of medium and heavy plate products have successfully overcome key technical challenges such as extra-thick plate dimensional control and stable low-temperature toughness. These achievements have enabled Jingye Steel to enter the ranks of global high-end plate suppliers, providing critical materials for major industrial projects worldwide.

Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Steel

Full specification coverage for advanced marine applications

With the rapid development of global shipping and offshore engineering industries, higher demands have been placed on plate steel in terms of specification diversity, performance stability, and weldability.

In response, Jingye Steel has successfully developed shipbuilding steel products covering:

  • Thickness: 5–120 mm
  • Width: 1,000–4,700 mm
  • Length: 2,000–25,043 mm

During development, Jingye Steel overcame challenges such as shape control of thin and wide plates, surface quality and performance control of thick and wide plates, cutting deformation of narrow and short plates, and logistics handling—demonstrating strong market responsiveness and service-oriented manufacturing capability.

Additionally, the EH40 series shipbuilding plates with 200 kJ/cm and 400 kJ/cm high heat input welding performance achieve excellent low-temperature impact toughness and weldability through precise control of phosphorus, sulfur, carbon, and nitrogen content, as well as effective elimination of internal defects in extra-thick slabs.

Wind Power & Bridge Steel

High toughness and weather resistance for major infrastructure

To meet the expanding demands of wind power projects in extreme environments and the performance upgrades required for bridge construction, Jingye Steel has developed a range of high-end wind power and bridge steels.

  • Q420NE wind power steel, featuring high fatigue resistance and excellent weldability, addresses cracking issues commonly associated with high-strength welding by controlling carbon equivalent. It has been successfully applied in projects such as Goldwind’s green hydrogen demonstration project and projects in Dongsheng, Ordos.
  • Q420ME wind power steel, capable of maintaining required mechanical properties after heating at 750°C and delivering reliable -50°C impact performance, effectively reduces safety risks for wind towers. It has been applied in the Shanghai Electric Daqing Oilfield project

Pressure Vessel & Pipeline Steel

Designed for extreme service conditions

For oil and gas pipelines and pressure vessels operating under harsh conditions, Jingye Steel’s R&D team focuses on low-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and high toughness.

  • X70M pipeline steel resolves impact toughness limitations in thick-wall, large-diameter, high-grade pipelines. Through high reduction rolling and ultra-fast cooling technology, the product achieves an average -35°C impact energy of 300 J, and has been successfully used in natural gas pipeline projects in the UAE.
  • L450MOS subsea pipeline steel meets HIC and SSCC resistance requirements through refining and vacuum treatment, strict continuous casting control, and optimized slab quality. It has been successfully applied in domestic subsea pipeline projects.
  • 9% Ni low-temperature steel overcomes challenges in precise nickel alloying and stable toughness control, maintaining excellent performance at -196°C, providing a localized material solution for LNG storage tanks and other cryogenic equipment.

Construction Machinery Steel

Superior strength and toughness for heavy-duty applications

To address toughness challenges in extra-thick high-strength plates, Jingye Steel optimized rolling and cooling temperature control, achieving industry-leading process capability. This enabled the successful development of S460M-Z35 ultra-thick plates (100–150 mm), which have been applied in high-rise construction projects in Ras Al Khaimah, Middle East.

In parallel, Q1100E ultra-high-strength steel adopts optimized chemical composition and quenching & tempering processes to balance strength and toughness, offering excellent weldability and marking Jingye Steel’s advancement to a domestically leading level in ultra-high-strength plate production.

02 Advanced Cold-Rolled Products Empower High-End Manufacturing

Jingye Steel has established a 2.6 million ton/year cold-rolling and coating production base, producing:

  • Cold hard coil
  • Cold rolled coil
  • Galvanized steel
  • Galvalume steel
  • Zn-Al-Mg coated steel
  • Pre-painted steel

These products are widely used in high-end construction materials, home appliances, hardware, automotive structural parts, and stamping components.

Key breakthroughs include:

  • Successful trial production of 0.20–0.25 mm ultra-thin hard-rolled coils
  • Mass production of HC330/590DPD+Z galvanized dual-phase steel
  • Large-scale production of JY1500HS automotive steel

For ultra-thin gauges, Jingye Steel addressed common industry challenges such as strip breakage through strict raw material control, process optimization, and stable operation, meeting international market requirements and supporting tinplate, tinning, and galvanizing applications.

In automotive steel, JY1500HS achieves high tensile strength and improved weldability through optimized weld heat treatment and full-process technical control. The product supports hot stamping technology, enabling complex part forming in a single step while reducing downstream processing costs.

Meanwhile, HC330/590DPD+Z galvanized dual-phase steel achieves an optimal balance between performance and cost by simplifying alloy composition and precisely matching galvanizing cooling rates, enhancing market competitiveness and expanding Jingye Steel’s dual-phase steel portfolio.
