Jingye Precision Pipes Powers the Construction of Nanjing North Station – A Mega Transport Hub
Jun 23,2026
Recently, a critical milestone was reached in the construction of Nanjing North Station, a national key transportation hub project in China. At the core area of the project site, high-strength Jingye steel pipes were precisely installed and successfully put into service, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of this super transport hub on the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta.
As the largest high-speed railway station under construction in Jiangsu Province, Nanjing North Station is an integrated mega transport hub combining high-speed rail, metro, and intercity railways, with a total floor area of 692,100 square metres. Upon completion, the project will play a strategically significant role in promoting coordinated and high-quality regional economic development.
The successful supply of ultra-thick-wall straight-seam double-submerged-arc welded round pipes by Jingye Precision Pipe Manufacturing Company to Nanjing North Station represents a high level of market and industry recognition for the company's product quality and technical expertise. In response to the stringent requirements and high standards of the steel structure construction at Nanjing North Station, the company established a full-process closed-loop quality assurance system – from careful selection of raw materials and rigorous process control during production, to strict pre-delivery inspections and precise on-site delivery – providing comprehensive support for the project.

Behind this strong product perform ance lies cutting-edge technology and intelligent equipment. Jingye Precision Pipes leverages China's first independently developed production line for straight-seam double-submerged-arc welded round pipes, equipped with a 15,000-tonne, 13-metre JCO pressure forming machine, as well as 4,800-tonne pre-bending and pre-welding core equipment. Coupled with the advanced digital welding system from Harbin Welding Institute (China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology), the line can produce welded pipes with an outer diameter of up to 1,626 mm, wall thickness of 120 mm, and length of 13 metres – effectively solving industry pain points such as supply difficulties and size limitations for ultra-thick-wall pipes, and ensuring ample, high-quality supply for major national projects.

Compared with traditional production processes, the company's core JCO forming technology offers particularly prominent advantages: it reduces circumferential welds by 30%–50%, saves customers 50% of subsequent welding work, increases daily delivery capacity by 500%, and extends the length of 40–120 mm thick straight-seam welded pipes from less than 6 metres to 13 metres. This significantly broadens application scenarios and meets the complex steel structure requirements of large-scale transport hubs.
Looking ahead, Jingye Precision Pipes will continue to enhance product quality and technical service levels, driven by technological innovation and underpinned by smart manufacturing. The company is committed to actively participating in major national projects, contributing even more solid "Jingye strength" to the nation's transportation infrastructure development and regional infrastructure upgrades.
