Recently, a major milestone was achieved at Jingye Group’s 1450 production line – the first hot-rolled steel coil equipped with the integrated Hot Rolling PES (Production Execution System) was successfully rolled off the line. This marks the smooth, on-schedule deployment of the fully self-developed Hot Rolling PES system by the Group’s Intelligent Information Department, and the successful one-time trial operation.

The Hot Rolling PES serves as the core information hub connecting the enterprise planning layer and the control layer. Centered on customer orders, it enables full lifecycle material management, precise production planning, end-to-end data traceability, and cross-departmental collaboration. It synchronizes the material flow, business flow, and information flow in hot rolling production, effectively addressing pain points of traditional production models such as fragmented information and non-standardized processes. The system fully unlocks production line capacity, improves production and logistics efficiency, and provides solid data support for cost precision and lean decision-making.

As an in-house developed information system for the Group’s main production line, the Hot Rolling PES bridges sales, production, and process control data, eliminating information silos. By matching material, inventory, and financial data, it achieves full-process visibility, controllability, and traceability. Furthermore, through standardized online operations and closed-loop exception management, cross-departmental collaboration efficiency has been significantly enhanced. With full technological autonomy – from development to maintenance – the project avoids risks associated with external technology dependence and lays a robust foundation for the digital and intelligent upgrading of the production line.

This project has not only yielded a mature methodology for self-developing PES systems in manufacturing, but also established a comprehensive set of standardized working guidelines. Moving forward, Jingye Group will continue to optimize system functions, deeply explore data value, and strive to build a PES platform covering all production areas. This will further strengthen the Group’s smart manufacturing foundation and empower the digital transformation and intelligent upgrade of the steel industry.
