National Project | Jingye Steel L555M Pipeline Steel Powers the Jiangsu-Anhui-Henan Pipeline Trunk Line Construction

Recently, the first batch of L555M high-grade pipeline steel produced by Jingye Steel for the National Pipeline Jiangsu-Anhui-Henan Trunk Line Project was delivered on schedule and successfully passed the joint acceptance inspection by the client and the general contractor. As a core supplier of pipeline steel in China, Jingye Steel’s products have already been applied in multiple national-level energy projects, including the Second West-to-East Gas Transmission Pipeline. The Jiangsu-Anhui-Henan Trunk Line is a key national oil and gas infrastructure project in the inaugural year of the “15th Five-Year Plan.” With a total pipeline length of 822.5 kilometres, it spans the three provinces of Jiangsu, Anhui, and Henan, playing a strategically significant role in ensuring regional energy supply and improving the national pipeline network layout. The project adopts L555M high-grade pipeline steel, which demands high strength, high toughness, excellent weldability, and high cleanliness – with stringent technical standards, tight delivery schedules, and high milestone requirements. To ensure on-time delivery of the first batch, the company established a dedicated supply assurance team, coordinating the entire process across production, technology, quality inspection, and logistics. During production, priority scheduling and rolling were implemented, with 24-hour progress tracking. On the logistics front, transport routes were planned in advance and shipments were precisely dispatched. Thanks to efficient collaborative organisation, the first batch was delivered with zero schedule delays and zero errors. For quality control, the company leveraged advanced equipment and mature processes to produce high-quality L555M pipeline steel. The TMCP (Thermo-Mechanical Controlled Process) technology was adopted, with LF refining and RH vacuum degassing to enhance steel cleanliness and precisely control microstructure and properties. Test results showed that key indicators – including low-temperature impact at -20°C, strength, and flatness – all exceeded national standards, fully meeting the requirements for high-pressure long-distance pipeline applications.
