Jingye Steel Successfully Achieves National CMMM Level 4 Certification

On July 1, 2026, Jingye Steel Co., Ltd. officially passed the national CMMM (China Manufacturing Maturity Model) assessment at Level 4 – the Optimization Level. This certification not only serves as authoritative recognition of Jingye Steel's smart manufacturing capabilities but also marks the company's entry into the upper echelon of domestic smart manufacturing. Level 4 is the highest level practically attainable by Chinese enterprises (Level 5 – the Leading Level – has not yet been awarded to any company nationwide), and among the steel industry, only 11 enterprises have achieved this level.

The assessment was strictly conducted in accordance with two national standards: GB/T 39116-2020 "Maturity Model of Smart Manufacturing Capability" and GB/T 39117-2020 "Maturity Assessment Method of Smart Manufacturing Capability." It was organized and implemented by a nationally recognized authoritative assessment body, covering four capability elements: personnel, technology, resources, and manufacturing. Level 4 requires enterprises to possess prediction and optimization capabilities based on models and data-driven approaches, enabling deep cross-departmental and cross-process collaboration and continuous improvement. It represents a critical leap from "integration" to "leadership" in smart manufacturing. Achieving this certification demonstrates that Jingye Steel's smart manufacturing system has reached a domestically leading level.

In recent years, Jingye Steel has fully committed to intelligent transformation, adhering to the core approach of "whole-process intelligent upgrade, full-element data connectivity, and full-chain green enhancement." The company has deeply integrated cutting-edge technologies such as industrial internet, artificial intelligence, and 5G to build an intelligent control system covering all production and operation processes, achieving "horizontal integration and vertical penetration" across 22 digital systems, and replacing manual labor with machines in more than 70 3D positions. In ironmaking, the company independently developed a blast furnace expert system and an intelligent hot-blast stove combustion model, which dynamically analyze the "black box" of blast furnace production, improving combustion efficiency by 8% and reducing energy consumption by 5%, while ensuring stable hot metal quality. In steelmaking, a converter alloy model was established to precisely predict alloy additions, enabling precise process control. In rolling, the company equipped ultra-fast cooling systems, powerful pre-straightening machines, and high-precision flaw detection equipment; it also developed a slab mold breakout prediction system with an accuracy rate of 97%, achieving zero breakout accidents and ensuring precise control over surface quality and dimensional accuracy of finished products, providing a solid foundation for stable production of high-end products.

Thanks to its leading smart manufacturing capabilities, Jingye Steel was selected as one of the first batch of advanced smart factories in Hebei Province on June 19, 2025, and later was included in the national-level "Excellent-Level Smart Factory" list for 2025 on September 4 of the same year.

This CMMM Level 4 certification not only reaffirms the effectiveness of Jingye Steel's smart manufacturing initiatives but also lays a solid foundation for further improvement and the pursuit of the "Leading Level." Standing at this new milestone, Jingye Steel will steadfastly advance deep digital-intelligent synergy, leveraging data-driven and AI-powered approaches to drive steel manufacturing toward higher-end, intelligent, and comprehensive upgrade, contributing greater strength to the high-quality development of the steel industry.
