Jingye Steel Successfully Completes Delivery of 160mm Quenched & Tempered Q355NC High-Strength Structural Steel Plate Order

Recently, Jingye Steel successfully completed the bulk supply of 160mm quenched & tempered Q355NC high-strength structural steel plates for Hengli Shipbuilding (Dalian) Co., Ltd. These steel plates will be used in the main beams and key load-bearing structures of 2,000-ton gantry cranes at Hengli Heavy Industry’s under-construction intelligent green mega-shipbuilding base, marking another breakthrough in the company’s high-end equipment steel supply capabilities.
The gantry crane main beam, as a core load-bearing component, must withstand thousands of tons of dynamic loads. This 160×3900mm quenched, ultra-wide, extra-thick order also required overcoming the “thickness effect” challenge. The Yingkou Medium Plate Technology Center addressed this through full-process optimization in steelmaking, rolling, and heat treatment, including optimized billet design, strict control of harmful elements, and precise regulation of thermal fluctuations, ensuring all steel performance indicators meet standards.
To precisely meet customer requirements, the company adopted a single-plate sampling design for each heat, keeping an additional set of test samples, maximizing the fulfillment of customized needs.
