Recently, Jingye Steel Co., Ltd. has successfully rolled L450M-PC1 pipeline steel, marking another breakthrough in the company’s high-end pipeline steel product development.
The newly developed L450M-PC1 pipeline steel features high strength, excellent weldability, and outstanding impact toughness. Its mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 555–760 MPa, a yield-to-tensile ratio of ≤0.93, and impact energy exceeding 100J at -10°C. With its excellent performance and high technical standards, this premium steel product is widely used in oil and gas transmission pipelines, offshore engineering, and construction projects, demonstrating strong market potential in global infrastructure development.
To ensure the successful development of this grade, Jingye Steel implemented a well-structured production plan with strict control over key process parameters. During the reheating stage, precise control was applied to billet charging temperature, heating zones, and soaking time to ensure accurate thermal performance. In the rolling process, advanced optimization of inter-stand cooling water systems and strict regulation of laminar cooling rates were implemented to ensure stable plate shape and dimensional accuracy. In addition, the technical team remained on-site throughout production, continuously monitoring and analyzing process data to provide strong technical support for stable mass production.
