In active response to the state’s “Belt and Road” Initiative, Jingye has vigorously promoted the internationalization strategy, insisted on exporting Made in China products and importing international resources as a global supplier of steel and metal products, and a global trader of minority minerals and various energy sources. For procurement, the Group has established strategic cooperation with mining giants like Vale, BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, and FMG. The global market has been explored for steel products by establishing branches and offices in 22 countries, and exporting the products to more than 80 countries and regions. In respect of international trade, the Group has focused on the upstream and downstream segments of the supply chain and engaged in bulk commodity transactions of steel, ore, coal and timber, in an attempt to generate a trade volume over 30 billion yuan in three years.
